| Grip "Don'ts" |
Picture 1 the left hand (non-dominant) is a continental grip. It is not preferable to have on your two hand backhand and when the left hand is side by side on the racquet head grip that is meant for a two hand backhand set up. Your left hand is responsible for rotating your grip but with this continental grip with your left hand and cannot rotate the right hand into proper grip which in my case I prefer to use the right hand as a continental for the 2 hand backhand. When in the ready position both left and right hand should preferably be semi western.
Picture 2 the left hand (non-dominant) is a full western grip. It is not preferable to have on your two hand backhand and when the left hand is side by side on the racquet head grip that is meant for a two hand backhand set up. Your left hand is responsible for rotating your grip but with this full western grip with your left hand and cannot rotate the right hand into proper grip which in my case I prefer to use the right hand as a continental for the 2 hand backhand. When in the ready position both left and right hand should preferably be semi western. |
